An art gallery and studio is the latest business to open at Nansledan. John Greig Artworks is a studio and gallery for local artist John Greig works with his daughter Lucy working alongside him doing prints and framing. The studio and gallery opened in the Watergate Building in October and is already proving popular.
“We are planning to open three or four days a week for people to come in and explore. As well as being a place for me to work, it is somewhere to show a mixture of my art pieces. We have limited editions, artist hand-finished editions and originals, which are constantly changing as the pieces go to St. Ives, Padstow and London.John’s paintings aim to recreate the atmosphere and feeling for a particular place or setting, rather than just a visual representation and he is always looking for different materials and techniques to work in.
John has two main subjects that he paints – Beach Life and City Life.
As we are Duchy tenants have had the honour to meet Prince Charles on 06th March 2020 in the gallery/studio.
